First, the Kenny update, for those following along at home: I emailed him, which is pretty much the only thing left I can do, and he’s not replied, which is what I expected. I don’t know what else to do at this point.

Now the good news. Today at work was awesome, and you want to know why? For just over a week I have been toiling in the hell of “Business Casual.” While it’s essentially the same thing that I had to wear at the library, I actually felt the need to tuck in my shirt and wear a belt at this place, as it was required. And despite doing it for five years at the library, I never really liked it.

Well today, for the first time in Verizon history, they announced a “summer dress code” that goes so far as to allow shorts and sandals! While I still can’t wear any of my arsenal of t-shirts, I can now wear jeans and my boots or Birkenstocks every single damn day to work! And no belt! And if it ever switches back to “winter dress code”, I’ll be gone anyway!
