I had an unplanned guest on Monday. It more or less made my week. Mostly because I don’t have to speak German anymore.

Travis also gifted me his Orange Box copies of Half-Life 2 and HL2: Episode One. I’ve played demos, death matches, and random points from Kenny’s copy of the game, but I’ve never actually played it through. I have a track record of hating first person shooters, and the HL:2 demo made me motion sick for only the second time in my entire life the first time I played it, but I’m still looking forward to poking around these games as I have a chance. I already know most of the plot, of course, but hopefully it’ll be fun anyway. I’ve done the Insertion Point or whatever at least four times now, however, so that’s going to be boring to go through yet again.
