It’s not as laughable as it seems, since SMTP lets you set whatever time you want anyway. I’ve even done this trick before. Yes, the person you send it to sees it in received order, but it shows it as being sent whenever you wanted it to be sent from. Back when I was testing SilverMail I sent people messages from Bill Clinton in 1992.
