The first part of the new Jux serial story.

Okay, a brief introduction. This story is going to be serialized. I hope to finish a new segment at least once a week, and hopefully sooner than that. As soon as one is done, it will be posted online. At the end of the story, I plan to take all the segments, heavily edit them (as writing anything in serial format is bound to cause a few problems), and cobble them together as one flowing story, which I may or may not then repost on Jux. Something else to know about this story is that it is the sequel to a novella I wrote two years ago, a novella titled Crossed Reality. My current internet handle and the story came about at the exact same time. I regret to say that for various reason I will not be posting Crossed Reality online, at least not yet. However, I plan to do my best to make it possible to enjoy this story without having read the original. But those of my friends that have will likely get a bit more out of it. For example, they’ll understand what’s happening in this first segment a little bit more (although why and how it’s happening will confuse them just as much as it will you.) Finally, due to how much of a pain in the ass it is to format every single thing for html when I write them in Word, I’ve decided to post the story serially in rich text format. Essentially anyone out there should be able to read it like that, and I can still use things like italics that I couldn’t in normal text format, and I don’t have to format it over again by hand. I hope that satisfies everyone. At any rate, I hope you enjoy this experiment.
