That’s right, one a week, for reals.
Now, all of us know that file sharers are in fact heartless gentiles who beat up seals, eat dolphins, ride whales and poke them with things, and do various other things to sea mammals. But did you know that according to the RIAA, they are breaking copyright law ? It’s true! Apparently, the RIAA feels that even though they aren’t profiting in any way from the practice, the file sharers must be stopped. And they’re right. The century old laws about audio copyrights must be held, because there’s not a chance that circumstances ever change, must be upheld! How can the RIAA’s members be expected to maintain CD sales against a free version of itself? It’s folly to believe that the only reasons for reduced revenues are the horrible recession, and increased spending of less overall money on DVDs and videogames. Absolutely impossible.
After examining the issue even more, it becomes obvious that the RIAA isn’t the only one in danger. Another industry has been slaving along for centuries, desperately fighting the free version of itself, with no one to champion their cause. We will do so now. If the RIAA can’t compete with file sharing, how can the publishing industry possibly compete with so-called “Libraries”? We don’t think they can. It’s obvious that years of free competition have left publishers like Viking teetering on the edge of collapse, and have been so damaging that the publishers have given up the fight for lost long ago. But it’s time to fight on! Sign our petition , and we will present it to the Supreme Court, demanding they fine and/or shut down these hideous operations! We must save the publishing industry!
