You thought I wasn’t serious? Shame.
Iâ??m here to update you on the progress of this yearâ??s grand Jux Entente Tee-Ball game. Of first importance is that it may end up not being a Tee-Ball game at all, but, rather, a dodge ball game. The more I think about it, the more I wonder just how wise it would be to have a bunch of 20 year olds hitting stationary spheres as hard as they can with bats. Somehow, I donâ??t think this is going to contribute to the best sporting experience possible. Iâ??m going to have to do some tests before I decide to officially switch the game, though, because if we get a light enough ball, wind resistance will prevent the game from deteriorating into a bunch of people constantly looking for balls in the Etowah River. Kick ball is known to get quite dirty, what with all the full-body catching, but Iâ??m less worried about the lot of us turning into professional soccer players. The final decision will be made closer to game day, which is looking like sometime in July.
Yes, this game will be grandly photographed. We might even record the whole thing on video, although I doubt we could offer something that large on the website, of course. Any of our fans will be welcome to come as spectators, though.
Next up, uniforms! At the very least, the three main members of Jux will be wearing blue-and-white baseball uniforms for this game. In fact, you can already buy the jerseys yourself at our store, if you want to. I think theyâ??re some of our best shirts ever. Click the links below to see what the uniforms look like. I’m working on creating one for Samantha, but that one will not be sold through the Jux Store, since I’m very well aware we don’t own the image used in it. We don’t like to start legal controversy we can LOSE around here.

Kitty Vertigo Jersey
ZenZagg Jersey
As for the other team, I might design uniforms for them, but I really think that should be their decision. I need to get them on some sort of mailing list so they can all start talking to one another about things of this nature. Some of them might not even know they’re playing yet.
Which brings me to my next update: the players. Rebecca Traylor is officially out, and I don’t think she ever even knew she was in, for reasons that I can’t exactly explain on this website. That leaves us with two possible holes on the other team. One has already been filled by our first “ringer”, Valerie Wingo. Samantha and I work with her, and she’s already appeared on Jux in the feature The Many Adventures Of The Butt-Ugly Chicken . That’s her holding the Chicken in the rocking chair. To qualify for the other team, she will go on one date (and possibly more, if he’s lucky and her boyfriend isn’t) with Kenny. That way, she can cover either Rebecca or the vacant Kenny’s girlfriend position we’re still hoping will be filled by the time he comes down.
Scott Hankinson, long time and recently rediscovered friend on the members of Jux, is our next ringer. Currently, he is planned to replace Laurie on the Jux Entente team in the highly-likely scenario that she decides not to play. He can qualify for this team by doing a guest feature. Should she decide to play after all, well, we’ll have to make another Jersey for one, and Scott can fill the hole on the other team, since he’s also dated Samantha in the past.
This is shaping up to be quite an event. Maybe we can turn it into another Nerd Bowl, the story of which will have to wait for another day.
