I just finished editing chapter 3 of my book (which means, dear constant reader, that so far I’m keeping my promise of a chapter a day), and since I have so much time left, I’m seriously considering going ahead and doing chapter 4 today as well. Just like when I did the second draft, the first two chapters are the worst. I’m not sure why…except that I’m always better and ending things than I am at starting them. Which makes me think that chapters 3-19 might be fine with a third draft, but perhaps I should give 1 and 2 another quick looksie before I send them off to the grinder.

But since that’s exactly the kind of thinking I told myself I was going to stop, I guess I won’t be.
